Ski resort projects within the framework of the tourism development
program in the North Caucasus may involve the territories of
conservation parks and must be inspected, a statement by the
'Ecological watch for North Caucasus' says, RIA Novosti reports.

The resorts involved are 'Lagonaki' (Adygeya), 'Elbrus-Bezengi'
(Kabardino-Balkaria), 'Mamison' (North Ossetia), and 'Arkhyz'
(Karachay-Cherkessia).

The ecologists urged the Russian president's envoy in the North
Caucasian Federal District, Alexander Khloponin, to inspect plans for
ski resort construction.
