Putin to visit Tajikistan next week

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Tajikistan next week, Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Yuri Popov said at a round-table conference about the Customs Union and integration in Dushanbe today, CA-NEWS reports.

The conference will allow the two states to strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations.

Russian First Vice Premier Igor Shuvalov visited Tajikistan last week. He said that they were close to signing a deal on presence of the 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan.
