Georgian leader holds meetings at UN General Assembly

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has had bilateral meetings with leaders of European states and international organizations, Trend reports.

He discussed reforms and the upcoming parliamentary polls. European partners expressed support of his initiatives.

President of the European Union Herman von Rompuy said that Georgians will soon be able to visit Europe without visas and farmers will be able to export products to European markets without paying customs fees.

Saakashvili met Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski and Dominican Republic Danilo Medina Sanchez. They discussed bilateral relations, regional security, Georgian-Russian ties.

A special delegation of the Dominican Republic will visit Georgia to study its reforms.
