Turkey sends troops to Iraqi border

Turkey has sent troops and military machinery to the Iraq border, Trend cites the Turkish General Staff as saying.

According to a statement issued by the Turkish military, the country is preparing for a major operation against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party.

Iraq has officially informed Turkey that any plane violating Iraqi air space will be shot down.
