Droughts in Stavropol Territory inflict up to 4 billion roubles worth of damage

Droughts in Stavropol Territory have destroyed 1 million tons of grain
fields, Interfax reports.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the region will lose 15-20%
of its harvest due to droughts. The region expected to grow 7 million
tons of wheat in 2010.

Specialists say Stavropol Territory will lose three and a half to four
billion rubles as a result.
