Power cut in Baku

Baku and a set of other cities and districts of Azerbaijan have experienced a power cut at 6.40 am today, ANS reports.

One of the main power plants in the country was hit by a lightning in Mingyachevir. A fire started there and was immediately put out.

Traffic at the Baku subway has been restored at 9 am. Road traffic is regulated by police officers. The Azerbaijani Railways are operating again.

Communication systems, except the Internet connection, were unaffected by power shortage.
