A multimedia video bridge between Baku and Moscow dedicated to the topic
of "Russia-Azerbaijan: 20 years of relations" took place. Russian and
Azerbaijani experts participating in the video bridge agreed that the
results of the last twenty years should be regarded as positive,
despite existing disputes.

Existing bilateral issues can be resolved, the executive director of
the Center for Political Science "North-South", editor-in-chief of
"Vestnik Kavkaza", Alexei Vlasov believes. "We should not forget
about the powerful potential of public sector communications, education
and youth organizations. It is necessary to create a new field of
interaction in the non-governmental sector, which will facilitate
cooperation between the two countries in various fields," Vlasov said.

The director general of the Center for Political Conjuncture in
Russia, director general of the Institute for Caspian Cooperation,
Sergei Mikheyev, said good relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are a
factor of stability in the Caspian Sea. Mikheyev noted that economic
relations are developing well, but can become even better, especially
in the fields of investment and innovation.

The deputy director general of the Information Analytical Center at the
Moscow State University, associate professor of the History Department
of Moscow State University, Ismail Agakishiyev, highlighted the
role of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the development of bilateral
relations. He said there are no unsolvable issues in relations between
Russia and Azerbaijan. "Our video bridge is a good way to solve
problems and unresolved issues," Agakishiyev said.

The event was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the signing of the
Free Trade Agreement between Russia and Azerbaijan, which is
celebrated on September 30.
