Kadyrov will not insist on trial for Memorial head

Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov has no interest in seeing the head of Memorial go to trial on libel charges, Interfax reports.
Kadyrov withdrew his libel claims against Memorial head Oleg Orlov in February. Orlov had earlier accused Kadyrov of being responsible for the death of a fellow human rights activist. However, the investigation continued after Kadyrov's lawyers were unable to contact Orlov.
