NATO chief’s terms of office extended

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will stay in office until July 31, 2014, his chairmanship has been extended, RIA Novosti reports.

Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen was elected as the NATO Chief on April 4, 2009. He left the Danish government the following day. Turkey was the only one out of 27 states to vote against Rasmussen.
