Naval GLONASS station at Caspian Sea to be launched in 2013

Naval stations of the Global Navigation Satellite Syetsm (GLONASS) will be launched in early 2013, RIA Novosti cites Colonel Igor Gorbul, spokesman of the Southern Military District.

Testing of the GLONASS station at the Caspian Sea continues. Installation of coastal navigation equipment and hydro operations continue.

Security enforcement on the Russian naval sector and the Volga-Caspian Canal continues.
