US describes Iranian plan for settlement of nuclear program as fruitless

The US rules out the Iranian plan for settling the nuclear program. According to the plan, international sanctions would be lifted in exchange for concessions, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.

The 9-point plan was presented to the US at the UN General Assembly last week. Iran offered to scrap uranium enrichment in exchange for a gradual lifting of sanctions. A US spokesman said that Iran’s proposals prove the efficiency of economic sanctions.
