Georgia's Ivanishvili urges closer ties with Russia

Bidzina Ivanishvili, the head of the Georgian Dream coalition, says the country should move towards restoring bilateral relations with Russia, ITAR-TASS cites Ivanishvili as saying at a meeting with Georgian businessmen.

Currently Georgia and Russia maintain no diplomatic relations. They were cancelled during the 2008 war.
