PKK leader arrested in France

French police have arrested the European leader of the Kurdistan Worker's

Party and three other members, PanARMENIAN.net reports referring to

Agence France Press,

The alleged leader of the organization in Europe and another member of

the organization were arrested on October 6, and two other people were

arrested a day after. The police are investigating whether the men were

trying to buy weapons in France.

The arrests took place within the framework of anti-terrorist operations.

The PKK is recognized a terrorist organization in Turkey, the US and the

EU countries.
