Turkmen president calls democratic processes irreversible

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said in Switzerland that democratic processes in Turkmenistan were irreversible, Trend reports.

He reminded about formation of the Party of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs after passing of the bill on political parties in early 2012.

Protection of human rights and civil interests is the priority of Turkmenistan, he adds. The country will focus on implementing international norms and standards of human rights protection, Berdimuhamedov said. He reminded that Turkmenistan had free electricity, gas and water.
