Israeli PM announces off-year elections

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced off-year parliamentary elections, Gazeta.ru reports.

Elections were initially planned for 2013. The unscheduled elections were prpvoked by disputes over the budget.

Netanyahu hopes that Likud, the ruling party since 2009, would get the parliamentary majority. The prime minister’s rating remains high.
