Iran to increase gas extraction to 300 million cubic meters daily at South Pars

Daily gas extraction at the South Pars Field will exceed 300 million cubic meters before the end of March 20, 2013, as stated by Director General of Pars Company, Musa Souri, Trend reports.

Iran extracts 290 million cubic meters of gas at the moment.

Petroleum Minister Rustam Hasemi said that South Pars is operated in three shifts in order to complete phases 12, 15, 16, 17 and 18.

Iran prioritizes cooperation with Qatar and Saudi Arabia in gas extraction.

South Pars is shared by Iran and Qatar. The Iranian part contains about 14 trillion cubic meters of gas (about 8% of world gas reserves) and over 18 billion barrels of gas condensate.
