Turkish F-16 fighters forced an Airbus A-320 (SRY422) flying from the Vnukovo Airport (Russia) to Damascus (Syria) with 35 passengers to land in Ankara on Wednesday night. Its cargo was arrested, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said, confirming that the plane carried components for military radio stations, RIA Novosti reports.

Inspection of the plane took 5 hours. Russian diplomats in Ankara failed to meet Russian citizens on the plane. A diplomat said that no information about the confiscated cargo had been given.
