Georgian former foreign minister wants dialogue with Russia

Tedo Japaridze, Georgian former Foreign Minister and current candidate for chairing the parliamentary committee for international relations, wants the new Georgian authorities to start a dialogue with Russia, ITAR-TASS reports.
The 66-year old politician said that a dialogue does not necessarily mean restoration of diplomatic relations, but the talks need to start.
Bidzina Ivanishvili, the candidate for Prime Minister from the Georgian Dream coalition, said after winning the elections on October 1 that normalization of relations with Russia was one of his priorities.
State Secretary of the Russian Foreign Ministry Grigory Karasin said that there were many talks about normalization of relations, but no real steps made, Interfax reports.
