Russian citizens in five regions are going to vote for local governors tomorrow for the first time since 2005, RIA Novosti reports.

Elections will be held in the Amur, Bryansk, Ryazan, Belgorod and Novgorod regions.

Governors have not been elected by popular vote in Russia since the 2005 reform. The law was changed in 2012 due to a massive protest campaign.
