Georgian parliament elected chairman, vice-speakers and committees' chairs

Georgian Parliament elected today David Usupashvili a chairman of the country's legislative body, Trend reports..

For the approval Usupashvili's candidacy voted by secret ballot 88 members, against - 0.

The Georgian parliament also elected vice-speakers at its first meeting on Sunday.

The leader of "Georgian dream - democratic Georgia" Manana Kobakhidze was elected first vice-speaker. For her candidacy voted 92 deputies from 150.

Among other elected vice-speakers are the leader of the Conservative Party Zviad Dzidziguri (92 - for, 0 - against), the representative of "Free Democrats" Zurab Abashidze (90 - for, 0 - against) vice-speaker from Adjaria in parliament became Murman Dumbadze (81 - for, 0 - against), and the former Georgian State Minister for European Integration Giorgi Baramidze (92 - for, against - 27).

The parliament also elected chairmen of 15 parliamentary committees. Under existing regulations, all the posts of chairmen of committees were taken by representatives of the parliamentary majority - the Georgian Dream coalition.
