Military clashes in Syria start despite cease-fire

The Syrian military started attacks in the southern outskirts of Damascus on Thursday-Friday night, despite the cease-fire regime for Eid al-Adha.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon welcomed the cease-fire initiative. Spokeswoman of the US State Department Victoria Nuland said that the US will monitor fulfillment of the peace agreement.
