Khabadze becomes head of Adjara government

Archil Khabadze of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s Georgian Dream has been approved by 13 members of the Supreme Council to become the head of the Adjara Autonomy.

31-year old Khabadze was proposed by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.

Khabadze will replace the Cabinet of Levan Varshalomidze of the United National Movement. The latter has been supervising the region since the rose revolution of 2004 and the resignation of Aslan Abashidze.
