Armenian and Iranian Presidents have phone talk

Armenia’s President Sezh Sargsyan had a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today, News.am reports.

President Sargsyan rated highly the session of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission, adding that such meetings are indicative of the long-standing relations between the states and show the aspirations of Yerevan and Tehran to develop bilateral ties.

Serzh Sargsyan said the meeting of the joint commission provides momentum for further development of economic cooperation, IRNA agency reports.

In his turn, President Ahmadinejad noted that expansion of economic cooperation will help to strengthen long-lasting and friendly ties between Armenia and Iran. He said Iran is consistent in fully implementing the arrangements reached by the states.
