Head of the Russian Federal Migration Service Constantine Romodanovsky believes that a flow of migrants is essential to compensate lack of labour resources caused by reduction of population in the country, Interfax reports.
According to average forecasts of the Russian Statistical Agency, the population in 2030 will total 139 million people, Romodanovsky said at the commission for migration affairs of the presidential council for interethnic relations in Moscow on Friday.
The official added that some regional labour markets suffered from absolute deficit of workers.
