Kazakhstan to start oil extraction in Kashagan in March 2013

Kazakhstan will start extracting oil from the Kashagan Field of the Atyrau Region in late March 2013, as stated by NCOC Managing Director Pier Offman at a meeting with Governor of the Atyrau Region Baktykozh Izmukhambetov, Kazinform reports.

They discussed oil extraction in the North-Caspian.

Offman said that Kazakh specialists took 80% of workplaces of foreigners. Participants of Kashagan development purchased goods worth $3 billion.

83% of work on the ground complex of Kashagan was done and 62% of the naval complex.
