Turkish president says relations with US essential for region

Turkish President Abdullah Gul has sent a letter to US President Barack Obama for winning the elections.

Gul noted the success of Obama in social and economic reforms. He said that relations between Turkey and the US were essential for the whole region and emphasized that Turkey was devoted to development and strengthening of partnership with the US.
