Turkish maroon berets perform cross-border commando raid on PKK

The Turkish Special Forces Command, known as the Maroon Berets, has reportedly performed a commando attack on outlawed Kurdistan Worker’s Party's (PKK) camps five kilometers inside the Iraqi border, Hurriyet reported.

Based on military intelligence, two battalions of Maroon Berets performed a short and effective operation against targets in the area, according to reports.

The troops returned to Turkey with the help of the Turkish Air Forces.
