China promotes peaceful settlement of conflicts

The Chinese Communist Party is having the 18th congress. Secretary General Hu Jintao said that China was opposed to foreign intervention into other countries’ affairs and use of force, RIA Novosti reports.

The Chinese leader said that the country was taking the peaceful path of development and its military policy was used for defenses. He emphasized that China will protect its sovereignty and security.

China will determine its position and policy basing on the principles of justice. It is against expansionism. Hu Jintao added that China wanted more active cooperation with other countries to withstand global challenges.
