Bulgaria to decide on South Stream investment project next week

Bulgarian Minister for Economy, Energy and Tourism Delyan Dobrev said that an investment decision on the South Stream project will be signed next Wednesday or Thursday, ITAR-TASS reports.

About $3 billion will be invested in the project. Dobrev will be authorized to give the Bulgarian Energy Holding the order to sign the final investment decision.

Gazprom is realizing the South Stream Pipeline through the Black Sea to deliver gas to Southern and Central Europe. Intergovernmental deals have been signed with Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria.
