Muslim scholar rapped for anti-Russian rhetoric

Head of the Russian region of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has criticized Qatari Muslim scholar Yusuf al-Qaradawi for branding Russia ‘an enemy of Islam’, RT reports.

In a statement released by his office Saturday, he called attention to the fact that Russia is home to 30mln Muslims, who freely practice their religion and annually build hundreds of new mosques.

Yusuf al-Qaradawi is seen as an important spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.
