Ski resorts open in Elbrus area

Heavy showfall in Elbrus area allowed to te skiers and snoboarder to

open their season earlier than planned. Usually the winter skiing

season in Elbrus area opens only on December 25.

"In the last three days there are heavy snowfalls in Elbrus mountains.

Skiing slopes are white. On the root between Mir station (3500m) to

Stary Krugozor station (3000 m) the level of snow cover is 40cm. The

skiiers are already using it", says the press-service of

Kabardino-Balkaria.

All the skiing lifts in teh area are already working in the normal regime.
