Russia eases procedures granting citizenship

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed into law a bill that eases the granting of Russian citizenship.

The bill was adopted by the State Duma on October 26th, 2012 and approved by the Federation Council on October 31st. According to the document, it will become much easier to obtain a Russian passport for those who have lost Russian citizenship or didn't apply for it, despite having the corresponding right to one.
