Karachay-Cherkessian leader proposes Murat Kardanov as PM

The head of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic, Rashid Temrezov, has proposed Murat Kardanov as a candidate for the prime minister's office.

The republic's parliament will discuss Kardanov's candidacy on Thursday.

The former head of the Karachay-Cherkessian government stepped down on Monday after he was elected a member of the republic's legislature.
