New authorities of Russian Defense Ministry appointed

Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Yuri Borisov and Ruslan Tsalikov as the Deputy Defense Ministers, the Kremlin reports.

Deputy Defense Ministers Yelena Kozlova and Dmitry Chushkin have been dismissed.

Acting Vice Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov may become the head of the regional government since the switch of Vice Governor Ruslan Tsalikov to the Defense Ministry.

Head of the government of the Moscow Region Andrey Sharov will either leave the administration or become a deputy of the acting governor. Tsalikov’s position may be taken by a supporter of Vorobyov at the parliament.
