Tbilisi hosts international energy conference

Tbilisi (Georgia) is hosting a conference on regional electricity trade today, organized within the framework of the project for promotion of investments in hydro electricity and supported by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

The project will attract investments in hydro energy and implement EU rules and regulations in energy trade.

The conference will be held on Monday and Tuesday, attended by officials of the Georgian Ministry for Energy, NGOs, international financial institutions, EU, owners of private dams and companies selling electricity in the region.
