A 45-year-old scientist has been detained for planning a blast to kill the president, prime minister and other officials in Poland. The man produced a total of 4 tons of explosives at a chemical laboratory in Krakow.

The scientist wanted to follow Anders Breivik’s path by setting up a bomb at the governmental area of Oslo. Prosecutor Peter Krason said that he was operating alone, basing on nationalistic and anti-Semite motives.

He may get 5 years of prison.

Reuters says that it was the first attempt of armed violence in the modern history of Poland.
