Alexey Machnev elected chair of North Ossetian parliament

A member of the ruling United Russia party has been elected as chairman of the North Ossetian parliament.

50 lawmakers voted for Machnev, while his opponent, Victor Velichko of the Patriots of Russia party, received 16 votes.
