Makhachkala coast to be cleared of sewer waste

70% of Makhachkala (Dagestan) sewer tunnels exceeding 16 km in length has been built to move waste to water-treatment facilities in Kaspiysk.

The tunnel with a diameter of 3 meters at a depth of 13-25 meters will clear the Makhachkala and Kaspiysk coast and improve environment of the Caspian Sea. The project should be completed in 2-3 years.
