Russia bans YouTube

The video hosting site YouTube has been put on the list of websites banned in Russia, the Kyiv Post reports.

According to a report posted on the site of the unified register of domain names whose dissemination is banned in Russia, the video host was put on the list on Wednesday at the request of Rospotrebnadzor. 

The authorities then said that the entire site would't be prohibited, only some pages (including those including infomation about suicide) would be banned.
