US president to provide finances for Israeli missile systems

US President Barack Obama plans to demand the Congress to increase financing of the Iron Dome missile complex of Israel and joint US-Israeli missile defenses. The president says that israel has the right to defend its territory, RIA Novosti reports.

Israel started developing its missile systems after being hit by 4,000 missiles in the war with Lebanon in 2006. Another stimulation for missile developments was the Cast Lead Operation in winter 2008-2009, resulting in 1,500 Palestinians killed. The US provides financial assistance for Israeli missiles.
