Israel arrests Palestinian lawmakers

Israel has arrested five Palestinian members of parliament of Hamas on the Western Bank of Jordan, a spokesman of the Palestinian Ministry for Convicts Iyad Abdo said, RIA Novosti reports.

One of them is Mahmou al-Ramahi, secretary of the Palestinian parliament, and Basem az-Zaarir, a Hamas leader in Hebron.

Israeli officers organized an operation on the Thursday-Friday night and detained 55 people suspected of cooperating with terrorists. Suspected organizer of the bus blast in Tel Aviv (30 Israelis injured) was reportedly detained as well.
