Checkpoints on Armenian-Georgian border to be modernized

A new bridge will be built in the framework of modernization of the

largest multilateral border checkpoint on the Armenian-Georgian border

(Bagra-Sadakhlo district). Funds for the construction will be provided by

the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

 

Work on construction will begin in spring. Another checkpoint on the

Georgian-Armenian border will be reconstructed, Georgia

Online reports.

 

The total cost of the modernization of checkpoints aimed at bringing

them up to European standards is more than €62 million. This money

is allocated not only by EBRD, but also by the European Investment

Bank, the European Union, the investment program of the European

Neighbourhood and UNDP.
