Differences in Russia's and Turkey's positions on the Syrian crisis won't spoil bilateral relations, the head of the Russian Academy of Science's Institute for Oriental Studies, Professor Vitaly Naumkin, told VK.

There are too many ties between the two countries, he explained.

"These relations are based on mutual interests and first of all on economic cooperation," the scholar said.
