EU Special Representative for South Caucasus arrives in Tbilisi

Peter Semneby told journalists that he intends to hold a series of meetings with politicians in Georgia and also to visit Abkhazia, Trend reports.
"I'm going to discuss conflict resolution and EU's role in this process in Sukhumi. I look forward to an interesting and meaningful meeting in Abkhazia, including talks with leaders of the republic," he said.
Semneby will leave Sukhumi for Batumi on July 15, which will host an international conference on "The European path of Georgia." The conference will see a discussion of the European neighborhood partnerships and challenges to security in the region, as well as the economic integration of Georgia into EU.
