Iran presents 400 investment opportunities at China exhibition

Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Behrouz Alishiri said Iran is to present investment plans worth $400 billion in China.

Talking to IRNA at the sidelines of the two-day 4th China Overseas Investment Fair in Beijing on Monday, he said the event is an opportunity for all world countries including China to become familiar with Iran's capacities.

Noting that the volume of China's foreign investments and trade has steadily risen to $70 billion, he said the Beijing exhibition is a chance for Iran to absorb Chinese investments.

The official stressed that Iran could not continue to be a consumer of Chinese products forever and it has to use the chances of making investments by attracting Chinaese investors.

Pointing to the warm welcome the Iranian pavilion has received, he further stressed that Iran has presented its oil, gas, petrochemicals and other economic capacities to the participants in the fair.

The 4th China Overseas Investment Fair which opened here on Monday will focus on the investment capabilities in the fields of gas and oil, mineral resources, industries and tourism.
