Electronic documents have same legal status as paper in Georgia

Electronic documents from now enjoy the same legal power as their paper counterparts in Georgia, Georgia Online reports.
The respective amendment to the law on "Electronic signature and documents" was drawn up in the Georgian parliament's committee on industrial economy and politics.
