Georgian president pardons over 250 convicts

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has pardoned 251 convicts, chairwoman of the presidential commission for amnesty Yelena Tevdoradze said, Georgia Online reports.

The pardoned convicts will be released at 3 pm. 12 of them are women, including 2 widows who had their sentences reduced. The commission studied requests for amnesty of about 500 convicts.
