First hotels of Arkhyz to open in February

Arkhyz in Karachay-Cherkessia will open the first recreation facilities of the North Caucasus Tourism Cluster in March 2012, construction of the second cableway continues, Northern Caucasus Resorts reports.
The elevator will be launched in February 2013, as stated by Dmitry Pumpyansky, President of Sinara Group. The cableway will be 2400m long with a capacity of 2400 people per hour. There will be two skiing tracks with a length of 2150m and 2600m. They will have height differential of 600m.
Besides launch of the cableway, two out of five hotels under construction will open in February 2013.
Arkhyz has two skiing routes operating with a length of 670m and 1100m, a four-seat cableway with a capacity of 1800 people per hour with a length of 860m. Launch of the second cableway will increase capacity to 4000 skiers per hour.
Arkhyz will be the first recreation center of the tourism cluster of the North Caucasian Federal District, Krasnodar Territory and Adygeya. Four tourism towns will be built for 24000 people. They will have 54 elevators for 45,000 a day. Skiing tracks will total 260 km in length. Full launch of the resort should bring about 500,000 tourists a year to Arkhyz.
