Akhmet Chatayev released

Akhmet Chatayev, a Chechen, who was arrested in September during a special operation in the Lopota valley was released today in Tbilisi at the request of the city prosecutor Elizbar Gozalishvili. He had to pay a bail of $ 3,000. Chatayev's relatives promised to pay the bail today. According to the law, they have 30 days to collect the money.

Most probably, the court's decision was influenced by recent rallies of Chechens Kists in favor of Chatayev. At the moment Chatayev is still in Georgia. The next hearing on the case will be held on December 19.
