Subway station in Kazakh style to open in Moscow on New Year's eve

The new terminal station of the Moscow metro line "Zamoskvoretskaya"
called "Alma-Atinskaya" decorated in national Kazakh style will be
open to public on New Year's Eve.

The station will feature interior lights mounted on curved red holders
"growing" along the axis of the platform, the press
service of the Moscow department of construction has announced,
Interfax reports. The upper entrance to the station will be decorated with
stained glass depicting an apple tree against the background of
Alma-Ata.

The station is named after the Kazakh divisions which came to the aid of
Moscow during the Great Patriotic War.
